NOTES OF INTEREST:
John Coit and his wife Mary were established in their home in Wales. They were deeply religious people. It was for religious reasons that they left Wales and followed their minister to America. They settled first in Salem, Masschusetts and then moved to Connecticut. Three of their children did not come with them to America. We do not know their names as of yet.
