Math -- NEW!Pre-Calculus
Ben Smart
8th & 9th graders: A note from Bob on this class: The typical accelerated sequence at MDHS is Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus. I recommend that NFS offer the same sequence as MDHS to avoid possible graduation credit conflicts (current 8th graders will most likely experience some problems getting High School credits for courses taken while at the Middle School age level.) Even though I would offer the same sequence at NFS, I plan to offer a curriculum that will more efficiently lead to mastery of advanced concepts - knowing what is expected at the AP Calculus level makes a difference on what the focus should be. I hope to review crucial Algebra I concepts and integrate important Algebra II with Trigonometry concepts in the Geometry course. Gerrit Egnew Abbey Holsman Mary Parker Alex Crogh
