| The Raspberry Festival. Each August this major fundraising event benefits the museum. The popular summer affair attracts over 1,200 participants from around the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere. Join us for a day of fun-filled family entertainment. You'll enjoy the food, live music, cultural demonstrations, a “show-and-shine” classic car show, a juried quilt show, tours of the Monastery Chapel, visits to the historical museum, and other Prairie-related activities. Berries picked from vines on the grounds are used to create raspberry delights such as jams, mustard, vinegar and our famous raspberry shortcake, all of which are offered for sale. The 2001 Raspberry Festival will be held August 5. | Join in the fun, enjoy the great setting.![]() |

| The Victorian Tea. The Victorian Tea is an annual Spring fundraiser to benefit the museum. The refectory (dining room) of the Monastery of St. Gertrude is transformed into a beautiful Victorian garden. Here, the Victorian lifestyle is recreated with emphasis on the food, fashions, and live music of the period. While not required for attendance, participants are encouraged to dress in Victorian attire in order to recreate and experience a bit of the not-too-distant past. The museum's 2001 Victorian Tea will be held May 12, from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. Tickets are $15.00 per person. |
