DAY 2: Possible scuba and/or
snorkeling refresher course. Complete
two open water dives toward your PADI open water certification class with
the proper signed PADI referral and medical forms. Complete your final
two open water dives toward your PADI open water certification class on DAY 3.
Non-divers will have the opportunity to try scuba diving. Curacao is interesting,
fun and easy to dive from shore or from a boat.
DAYS 2,3,4,5,6,7:Each morning
we will board our dive boats at the pier and head out for a standard (8:15 am to 1 pm)
day of diving to a variety of beautiful sites. Although we will dive well
within the decompression limits, a shallow reef shelf follows by a steep
drop-off plunging down to 150 feet, then a gentler slope down to who-knows-where.
Water temperatures range from 77 degrees F in the winter to 82 degrees F
in the summer. Visibility is a consistent 80 - 150 feet with little or no
current. Landside you'll find a sunny upper 80's everyday year round with a
refreshing easterly breeze. Non-divers will have the chance to go snorkeling,
beach combing, tanning or island
exploring. Non-Divers can pay to snorkel from the boats.
DAY 8: Early morning departure and
enough time to say good bye to our newly found friends. Fly Curacao to Boise or to your
home. We will have waited at least 18 to 24 hours since our last dive before we fly.
VERY SPECIAL VALUE: Ocean Reef Ecology Diving Specialty is included. Two
dives are required under the supervision of the instructor. If you have already obtained
the Ocean Reef Ecology Diving Specialty, then the diver may substitute another two dive
specialty.
If the other specialty has more than two dives then an appropriate additional cost will
be collected, at $25 per dive. Other specialties will be available at a reasonable cost,
see attached list of prices.
These include: enriched air nitrox, fish identification, multilevel,
underwater photography and advanced underwater photography, underwater video,
research diving, boat diving, wreck diving, deep, current, search and recovery,
night and hunting and collecting.
