The little boy is reading from the Koran on the carved Koran stand, while a trail of glowing candles signifying the nur ul Islam (light of Islam) wend their way toward the child from the Ka'aba of Mecca and the Prophet's mosque in Medina. These two holy buildings are the architectural emblems of Islam in most poster art.
